Tesco trains highest number of pharmacists ever to provide the flu jab service in 375 pharmacies.

Flu can have a profound effect on the UK population and can be prevented using the seasonal flu jab. At Tesco we provide a private paid for service and a free service on behalf of NHS for eligible patients. This year we have trained our highest number of pharmacists ever to provide the service from our 375 pharmacies.

As well as looking after our customers we want to make sure our colleagues stay well also so we offer the jab for half-price. Colleagues in our distribution centres have also signed-up to be vaccinated.

My team work closely with our flu jab supplier and distribution partners to ensure we have the right number of jabs to meet demand. Our pharmacy teams are also visiting local businesses and schools as part of our business to business programme.

NHS flu jab available to:

  • anyone over the age of 65
  • pregnant women
  • children and adults with an underlying health condition (particularly long-term heart or lung disease)
  • children and adults with weakened immune systems

You can find out more about who should have the flu jab from the NHS or visiting one of our pharmacies.
